Center for Excellence in Assisted Living

The Center for Excellence in Assisted Living (CEAL) is a consortium of national organizations, such as AARP and the Alzheimers Association, concerned with the quality of assisted living care in the United States.

CEAL asked us to build a publications clearinghouse: a searchable repository of studies, statistics and other research concerning assisted living.

We took CEAL through our process of defining requirements from the website user's perspective, resulting in an intuitive interface for searching, selecting and viewing resources.

We also developed an easy-to-use administration tool to allow non-technical CEAL staff to manage their new clearninghouse database online.

CEAL is a consortium of national organizations concerned with the quality of assisted living care in the United States.
Our search interface allows users to run simple keyword searches, which can be filtered through a variety of criteria to narrow results.
Search results are easy to scan, providing just enough information for users to decide on the relevance of a resource to their interests.
The clearinghouse stores a highly detailed profile of each resource.
An alternate search filter allows users to find state-specific publications and statistics on assisted living.
